The Independence Square
The 65th Annual Halloween Parade will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2013, at 3:00pm. The parade will begin on Pleasant and Walnut streets and end at McCoy Park.
If you would like to participate in one of the judged divisions of the parade, you can either apply online at the bottom of this page or print and fill out the application located at the link below and mail it in with the appropriate fee.

Trick or Treat
Trick or Treat from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at designated Square Merchants.
Great Pumpkin Contest
Guess the correct weight of our Great Pumpkin, decorated by MyArts, and win a $50 Visa gift card. The Great Pumpkin will be on display and guesses are accepted at CommunityAmerica Credit Union inside HyVee at 23rd St. and Lee’s Summit Rd. October 17-24.
Pumpkin Carving Contest
This year, the mayors of Jackson County have all joined in a Pumpkin Carving Contest. The pumpkins will be on display at the Jackson County Courthouse October 22nd through the 26th. Vote by donating any amount of cash you would like. The pumpkin with the highest cash value on the 26th will be announced at 3;15pm and the funds will be donated to the charity of the winning mayor’s choice.
Servpro of Lee’s Summit will also be providing a FREE bounce house from 12-3pm on the Independence Square. The bounce house will be located on Main Street between Maple and Lexington.
